The BRBC is hiring a Watershed Planning Technician to assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of the Bow Basin State of the Watershed Report (SOW), as well as equipment maintenance.
Position Title: Watershed Planning Technician
Wage Funding Stream: Green Horizons: Navigating Career Paths for Barriered Youth (candidate must qualify)
Start Date: Monday September 21, 2026
End Date: Friday December 14, 2026
Compensation: $22/hr
Days of Work: this is a full-time (37.5 hrs/week) temporary 12-week position until December 2026.

The successful candidate must be pre-approved or able to quality for ECO Canada wage funding: Green Horizons: Navigating Career Paths for Barriered Youth. Preference will be given to candidates who are pre-approved.
Green Horizons is open to Calgary-based youth aged 15–30 who are legally entitled to work in Canada. Participants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons (as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act). Most importantly, participants should self-identify as facing barriers to employment, including:
Members of Indigenous communities
Racialized youth
2SLGBTQI+ youth
Newcomers to Canada
Youth with disabilities
Francophone youth
Youth who haven't been in work, school, or training for a while
This program is designed to help young people overcome systemic challenges, gain valuable work experience, and connect with employers who value diverse perspectives.
