Legislation and Policy Standing Committee
Purpose
In accordance with its by-laws, the BRBC has established an advisory committee to consider and recommend municipal, provincial and federal water legislation and policy to the Board of Directors that may affect the Bow River Basin.
Duties/Responsibilities
Consider matters of legislation and policy as referred by BRBC Board of Directors, BRBC, Alberta Water Council,or others.
Consider water management framework, plans and policy and provide submissions of comments and recommendations to the BRBC, the Alberta Water Council, and the province.
Consider The Alberta Water for Life (Provincial Water Strategy) and provide a process for consultation and review of proposed implementation of objectives and strategies.
Support Staff, Executive Director, Deputy Director & Program Manager
Meetings Regular bi-monthly and call of the Chair

Membership
Membership consists of volunteers from the BRBC.
Term
Chair – to be appointed annually by BRBC Board of Directors from Board membership - Chair Judy Stewart
Volunteer members to serve a three year renewable term
